How do I configure Internet Explorer for a Macintosh?
The following browser configuration procedure enables Internet Explorer
to receive all content from Yahoo! Broadcast. Please follow the
directions below:
- Click on Edit, located on the Menu Bar.
- Select Preferences....
- Configure the following categories as indicated below.
- Click on Web Content from the left navigation bar.
- Page Content - Check the boxes next to the following options:
- Show pictures
- Show style sheets
- Play sounds
- Show frames
- Active Content - Check the boxes next to the following options:
- Enable Scripting
- Enable plug-ins
- Enable ActiveX
- Click on Java from the left navigation bar.
- Check the following option:
- Uncheck the following options:
- Alert on Exception
- Log Java output
- Log Java exceptions
- Security Options - Uncheck the following option:
- non-Java class files
- Click on Security from the left navigation bar.
- Alerts - Uncheck any alerts that may be checked
- Click on Security Zones from the left navigation bar.
- Select Internet Zone.
- Select Custom.
- Click the Settings... button.
- ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins - Enable the following
options:
- Initialize and script ActiveX control
- Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins
- Downloads - Check the boxes next to the following
options:
- Font downloads
- File downloads
- User Authentication
- Select Automatic logon with saved settings
- Miscellaneous
- Software channel permissions - Medium Safety
- Launch applications and files - Enable
- Submit non-encrypted form data -Enable
- Scripting - Enable the following:
- Execute scripts
- Execute scriplets
- Click OK.
- Click on Ratings from the left navigation bar.
- Ratings Settings - Disable the setting
- Click on Advanced from the left navigation bar.
- Cache
- Update pages - Always
- Click the Empty Now button.
- Click on Cookies from the left navigation bar.
- When receiving cookies - Never ask
- Click OK.
